  Dinoseb is an herbicide in the dinitrophenol family. The IUPAC name is 2-(butan-2-yl)-4,6-dinitrophenol and its molecular formula is C10H12N2O5. Naturally, dinoseb occurs as orange crystals which cannot dissolve in water easily.
