Hinokitiol (-thujaplicin) is a natural monoterpenoid found in the wood of trees in the family Cupressaceae. It is a tropolone derivative and one of the thujaplicins. Hinokitiol has inhibitory effects on Chlamydia trachomatis and may be clinically useful as a topical drug.
